About Quidi Vidi Village Plantation

The Quidi Vidi Village Plantation provides a vibrant focal point for visitors to the community through interaction with emerging craftspeople, and historical interpretation of the region. The Plantation’s craft enterprise program will stimulate local economic growth by providing a supportive environment for the development of successful new craft businesses. It plays host to a number of emerging craftspeople with talents and products ranging from pottery, to jewelry, to printmaking, to a wide variety of textiles.

Studio Available! Now Accepting Applications

Call for applications
Emerging craftspeople are invited to apply for a studio space at the Quidi Vidi Village Plantation.  It’s an opportunity to grow your craft business in a creative & cooperative environment.  

If you are an emerging craftsperson, near the beginning of your career in craft (no age restrictions apply) and you intend to pursue a career as a professional craftsperson in Newfoundland and Labrador then we would love to hear from you.

Call for Proposals
Established professional craftspeople interested in temporary, short-term studio at The Plantation are  invited to submit proposals.  Ideally, someone who is willing to be present during public hours to talk to visitors about their craft and who who is willing to share their skills and experiences with the newer craftspeople in the building.  
If this is you, then please apply in writing with a letter outlining the short term work you would like to do while there, and the benefits your presence will bring to The Plantation; along with your resume/CV and images of your work.  For more information about this opportunity, please call Beverly at 709-739-7623
