Description: Are you a drawer/artist who would like incorporate stitching into your work? In this workshop participants will learn the fundamentals of using a needle and thread as a drawing tool to create works that are rooted in historic textiles as well as contemporary art practices. Understanding different techniques of mark making with a threaded needle, participants will learn to convert their drawings into embroidered works. Nontraditional backgrounds and stitching materials will also be explored.  Perfect for artists who wish to bring embroidery techniques to their work.  No stitching experience required, but confidence in drawing is a must.
